Well it ‘could’ happen, if even a small minority of the rather large population of the united states took a few history lessons from the French revolution. If heads started rolling, literally, the united states populace might one day end up with honorable persons volunteering to run for elective office. If they were indeed “honorable”, then they’d have nothing to worry about and thus would have no problem running. But alas one such as urself would most likely reply and correctly so that the American people would first have to rid themselves of the not-federal reserve and other such tyrannical powers that be that control their country and it’s government. True. And then there’s the issue of power itself inherently corrupting all but the most noble. But that tendency could be sorted easily by instituting a strict no tolerance or one strike and you’re out policy when it comes to all publicly elected civil servants. Including, especially, the president. One lie, one deception, one corrupt corporate handout etc and they’re out and jailed. Rather than this infectious need to revere all current and past U.S. presidents in order to breed what they deem a necessary xenophobic patriotism, the American people would instead have to retool and be more committed to honesty integrity freedom liberty and democracy. There is nothing more sad discouraging and despicable than a country full of people who inappropriately prop up their elected leaders as heroic regardless of how many lies deceptions and crimes they commit while in public office just out of some kind of mass hypnotic need to not acknowledge their shared truths for fear of losing their economic or democratic stability. Unfortunately it’s the norm all over planet earth.
